Administrative Assistant Post Vacancy

Elloughton cum Brough Town Council is seeking to recruit an Administrator Assistant.

The Administrative Assistant position is permanent, part-time (20 hours a week) and would be based at the Town Council’s office located at 60 Welton Road, Brough. Some work will take place outside of the office, such as, risk assessments and inspections.

Knowledge of working in an office environment, excellent communication, numeracy and literacy skills and experience of working with all Microsoft packages are essential. A drivers licence and use of a vehicle are essential.

The role is a varied and interesting one. It involves: dealing with enquiries from the public, meeting preparation, ensuring files are properly stored, assisting with the financial transactions and providing information to councillors.

A background in Local Government would be an advantage, but more importantly is the ability to use initiative, work to deadlines and have a keen eye for detail.

The successful applicant will need to either have the Introduction to Local Council Administration (ILCA) qualification or be prepared to work towards it.
